[ date night while on the run? how romantic is he?

if it were up to him, they'd be going to some 5-star restaurant, having expensive wine, and talking about whatever they wanted to talk about. they'd go somewhere fancy, with dim lights and violin in the background. someplace worthy of a girl like Sara -- someplace that would really... impress her.

but no, escaping the feds and their pitiful looking handful of singles and fives and a few tens didn't lead to an expensive date. they had to keep a low profile, ignoring large cities ( or cities at all, for that matter ), covering up any mistakes. not to mention their company -- his older brother Linc, and the man who tortured Sara, Kellerman.

what a freakin' douchebag. he'll have to remember to bash his face in next time he sees him.

anyway, even though it's not that original, a picnic on the beach was perfect for the moment -- he could easily get rid of the other two males in the group, and have his little love dove all to himself. so, at the strike of seven o'clock, Michael makes his move, touching Sara's shoulder with one hand, the other gripping a woven basket filled with yummy goodies.

Moment of your time, if I may?

[ when Sara was a little girl, she never imagined this would be her life. does anyone really ever see themselves on the run, with the two most wanted men in the country, and one man who turned against the corrupt government trying to kill both of the aforementioned convicts?

no, she's pretty sure little girls don't think about those kinds of things.

still she's... oddly happy. not about life on the run, of course, but being with Michael makes her unfathomably happy. for some reason, despite the lies, despite the betrayal, she's still found a way to trust him -- completely and totally. he's unlike anyone she's every met before, it attracts her to an undeniable degree. honestly, she's surprised she kept those three simple words to herself for that long.

well, it was more like eighteen. "the first thing they tell you in prison training is not to fall in love with any inmate."

kinda screwed that one up, didn't she?

All I've got are moments, nowadays. [ Sara glances don't to his basket, eyebrows raised up in feigned skepticism. ]

There better not be a burrito in there, or I'll have to find myself a new convict.
